Civil War buffs are a lot like Trekkies (Star Trek gurus): they can tell you how many musket balls were fired at a particular battle, or in the case of Trekkies speak Klingon. As for Civil War buffs, (and "history buffs" in general) they are particularly inept at how singular events reflect broader themes of the times.
At least I have one less to deal with now.

Cool! Better than you guys interested in Indians or whatever. Never gonna get hurt digging up arrowheads.
You're right: I'd rather look for paleoIndian points than juggle unexploded ordinance in my garage.
When put under a microscope, the edge of and obsidian blade is far sharper than the finest German steel. An anthropologist some time ago had quadruple bypass, and found a cardiac surgeon who would use the obsidian tools he made for his own surgery. The surgery was a success, and after everything healed, I guess the scars were nearly, if not entirely, non-existent.
What your hands in those test units!
Sure glass breaks sharp. It's also brittle.
I'll keep my kitchen utensils from Henckels, danke.
