Evolving Party Line

I have never had any illusions about Obama. I merely note with amazement that his media swooners seem to accept his every policy reversal with an equanimity unseen since the Daily Worker would change the party line overnight — switching sides in World War II, for example — whenever the wind from Moscow changed direction. And Pepe twists and turns and flips and flops like the best Party apparatchik.

Not a flinch. Not a flicker. Not a hint of shame. By the time he's finished, Obama will have made the Clintons look scrupulous.

Ahhh, the beauty of it all. It's the stuff that sends tingles up Pepe's legs.

More: As Obama moves rightward and gets tougher, Republicans are desperately trying to portray him as some sort of arrogant flip-flopper. But these audacious moves by him are not signs of weakness; they're signs of a man who will win at any cost. Isn't that what they used to say about the Clintons?

And when he has won, at every cost, he will show The Fist. There is not much center to hold anymore, and he will break it into a thousand little pieces.

That last paragraph is pretty fun. ...will have made the Clintons look scrupulous.
