True, she seems to know very little about international affairs, but expertise in this area is no guarantee of wise leadership. [..] What she does know—and in this respect, she does resemble Reagan—is that the United States has been a force for good in the world, which is more than Barack Obama, whose IQ is no doubt higher than hers, has yet to learn.

"And it's not surprising then that Tecs gets bitter; he clings to Zacharia or Brooks or reveries of young Buckley, to people who are just like him or to his specious elitist sentiment as a way to ease his frustrations at the grunting rabble that are in this case in the right, while he is as usual in the wrong."
The Tecumseh-Rott Thrilla In Vanilla aside, I've got to wonder what the lesser Buckley thinks of Iowahawk's "Voorhees VII". It is one of the most exact, yet painful, parodies I've seen in a long time.

"Oh Frumious gay, the Brookersnatch chortled in it's joy."
Oh, spot-on...
I haven't looked at Iowahawk in a while, What's this about?
Podhoretz is quotes an old Iowahawk piece that we read here together. It was one of the DeVoorhees VI ones.
Did you not finish the Podhoretz piece you posted? It's pretty damned good till the end, actually.
"Is quotes"? Ah well. And, no, I didn't read the piece to the end, I guess I should.
