Portugal is not Greece?

Looking for a silver lining: Analysts, meanwhile, said that while the downgrade wasn't good news, Portugal still is in better shape than Greece. "The downgrade, from AA to AA-, leaves Portugal's rating well above Greece's BBB+..."

I have never thought of AA as anything other than a minus.

AA- is much better than BBB+, dontcha know?

I agree. I associate "BBB" with "big beautiful babes." They're right in position one, only.

What does any of this have to do with the credit ratings of Portugal and Greece? Rot only knows.

Hah, maybe we couldn't beat the Greeks in the Eurocopa. But we still can beat 'em in the Euro's cropper.
