410, the return
Trajan was a Spaniard. Hah!
Was Alaric, a Visigoth.
Traianus was born in Hispania Baetica -- Al-Andalus for Charly.
300 years before 410 though.
5th c not a good one for Rome. at least not in the west.
Who besides Charly is talking about AD 410? I prefer to talk about Traianus -- the high mark of the Empire -- and about his being Spaniard, which is fitting, given the 4-0 drubbing Trajan's co-Andalusians gave the modern-day Romans.
Ahem, there is arguably visigothic blood in most spaniards...
Ahem, the Visigoths invaded the Roman Empire in 376, way after Trajan lived and died. So, once again -- the founder of Roman Dacia was not a Visigoth.
That doesn't make 410 a bad analogy.
Two separate things, each has its own merits.
