Bogging the Pepe

Not that reading his father's Meditations would have made a better man of Commodus, but are we allowed to hope that if Pepe reads a little from the book of the Idiot Ricain Soldier [Killer, Rapist.....and (worst of all) Marine] he might actually learn something? [The answer is you are always allowed to hope, even if you're the gerbil staring at the V2 now about 1 meter from your noggin].

AA, I wasn't going to post for a while, but I read this slate article and it echoes much of what the blogger you linked us to said. The ISG didn't interview the grunts, and they didn't take up discussion with anyone below a Lt. Col.

An excerpt: Staying in the Green Zone and getting their view of Iraq via PowerPoint slides and sterilized group discussions simply didn't convey this reality to the ISG.

This guy says the ISG is composed of geriatrics who haven't set foot in Iraq, and he is also calling for U.S. Military reform — too big a bureaucracy to be effective. Read the article. Gimme your thoughts.
