This is interesting reading. Princess Diana/Obama Derangement Syndrome? Priceless. Especially coming from the usual Bush Derangement Syndrome crowd. At any rate, at the end there is a new tidbit, that I didn't know about:

He also did a land deal with Rezko in 2005, buying land from him to enlarge his own adjoining house at what has been reported to be a discount -- a transaction Obama has subsequently called ‘bone-headed’. In a further twist, as the Times reported earlier this year, a British-Iraqi billionaire, Nadhmi Auchi, who is said to have had connections with Saddam Hussein and who was convicted for corruption in France, lent millions of dollars to Rezko just weeks before that ‘bone-headed’ land deal.

But what has received far less attention is Rezko’s connections with the Nation of Islam. Reszko, born in Syria, was a business associate of Jabir Herbert Muhammad, the son of the founder of the Nation of Islam, Elijah Muhammad, serving as a vice president and general manager of JHM’s firm Crucial Inc. And finally, Rezko was bailed from jail by Ali Baghdadi, the ‘Middle East adviser’ to the Nation of Islam.

Hmmm.... Right, JJ: Ayatollahs on motorbikes, and all that jazz. Where does Pepe's Harley fit in all that?

BTW, I assume Rezko is long under the bus (man, that's a big Greyhound there!), but how about Auchi, Jabir, and Baghdadi? Are they big enough fish to get into the august company of Jeremiah Wright & Co?

Yeah, this Speccie article really digs up a lot of muck. The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy has apparently gotten to the guys that fired Steyn. I think that was Boris Johnson, incidentally.

Let's see if the MSM makes these guys big enough to throw under the bus. They might 'accept' the bone-headed explanation and leave it at that.

I would assume kid gloves McCain would consider this a legit target, though I expect he would leave the fact that Rezko = Assad alone for the swiftboater types to hit.
