Physicians for Human Rights -- what is this group? A lefty front?

Yup. Physicians for Human Rights are to human rights what the Canadian Commissions for Human Rights are to human rights. Instruments for seeking the triumph of those who would destroy all human rights. Pravda, all the way.
Touch the chumps' Koran without a glove to protect it from infidel contact....psychological abuse.
Inflict upon these turds the awful sight of female guards actually, you know, guarding these brave warriors of Islam....the horrific sexual abuse only Yanks could perpetrate.
Clobber one of 'em for spitting at a guard, or for trying to go all Pepe on the butt of one of the less hairy jihadists....there be physical abuse.
We should let the guards at Angola be transferred to Gitmo. They understand that the worthy whiner should actually have something worthy to whine about.

It said the 11 men - all freed without charge from US military jails in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay - were suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
The White House maintains that the US has treated all detainees humanely.
(...)
Four of the men, arrested in Afghanistan between 2001 and 2003, spent about three years at Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba before being released without charge.

But based on y'alls reaction, it seems that no matter what, you guys just can do no wrong. It must be great to be good guy, even when you behave like the bad guy.

Here's a follow-up. When those cuddly chumps get released from Gitmo (as a result of all the howling from Planet Pepe), guess what they do? Duhhh....

The point ai is that they are indiscriminately torturing the detainees, regardless of whether they've done anything. Some of them have (as in the example you are pointing to), but others not. You'll note also that the administration has repeatedly denounced the practice.

1. We don't torture
2. Ok, we do it, but only to bad guys
3. Ok, we do it to everyone, and so what ?

Impressive.
