My Frontier Thesis said...: Good article. Sinclair Lewis hailed from Sauk Center, Minnesota, a stop I always avoided during I-94 treks between Bismarck and the Twin Cities: although I really enjoy Sinclair, there was no way I'd give that bastard the satisfaction of visiting his childhood home.

And besides: everyone already knew the Nobel Literature Prize was rigged, and has been for a long time, right?

Regardless, his endless jeremiads (is it 4 or 5 volumes of incessant whining?) make aa sound concise. Nobody deserves being conned into reading Proust.
