Yes, a Labrynth is a sort of maze. Usually connoting one which leads into darkness and danger, and which does not permit escape. Thus the Minotaur, or Shelob, to pick two legendary instances, had a labrynth as their lair. Hades, I suppose, as described by Homer, seems very much like a Labrynth.
