My Frontier Thesis said...: Well, for some reason America again gives us a choice to vote for one out of two assholes. If we vote McCain, we get a mediocre asshole with a strange variety asshole assistant. If we vote for Obama, we get another mediocre asshole with a strange variety asshole assistant too.

Am I, like Hitchens once said at a Monticello Jefferson conference, being too nostalgic in saying that, compared with the Jefferson vs. Adams presidential race, something has gone horribly wrong with the pool of candidates we're supposed to pick from today?
