I'm lost. Why does Kraut appear in the title of McCarthy's piece? Sort of like Rot saying I pull for Kerry?

It's a big topic in K-Lo-land.

With one caveat: I think Krauthammer was too hard on Geert Wilders. I don't always agree with every thing Wilders says — or how he says it — but I think Wilders' argument is far more complex and his cause far more just, than Krauthammer's short take allowed.

So what did Kraut say about Wilders? I missed that one.

Kraut took the view that not all muslims want to strap on a bomb and kill themselves and therefore Geert's overdoing it.

The whole discussion is at NRO, if you know how to use the find-in-page function on your browser.

I couldn't read all of this McStuff, but the last 'graf I think is the point of it all.

So what do you make of this 'graf: The Marxist Center for Constitutional Rights has aggressively advocated for al Qaeda for years. CCR is the backbone of the Gitmo Bar, coordinating the representation of al Qaeda detainees by the legions of volunteers from our country's major law firms. While doing so, CCR has pushed for the indictment of Bush administration officials for war crimes and bragged that its recruitment of lawyers effectively shut down interrogations, depriving the United States of vital wartime intelligence. What more does CCR need to do to prove that, as between the United States and the Islamists, CCR is with the Islamists?

Fine. But then, if Uncle Sam hires them to represent the US Government, shouldn't we all know what they've been doing beforehand? Most open, evah.

Yes. There's no way that it was legit for Holder to withhold who was what and McCarthy is completely in his rights to say that these people are a menace.
