Isn't he a bit articulate for republicans ?

For some, yes. But that is true of just about any party, anywhere. And, by and large, the GOP is a pretty articulate party. And a more innovative party (starting with Reagan) than the ossified Democrats, who are stuck in their glory days of the New Deal and Great Society, with no ideas except to raise taxes and redistribute the wealth. Which has been the unique idea the Left has brought to the table since the late 19th Century.

Romney has very effective circumlocutory tactics. One needs these to be a devout Mormon advocating taking it in the arse.

yes, yes, of course.
But back on topic, I am concerned that if Mitt appears to have more than a second grade education, he may be considered an out of touch elitist by the roT-clones in the GOP. You know, not a bona fide part of Grizzly mama's Real America.

Plus he's a mormon, which is even more asinine than whatever cult Yosemite Sam and Palinclone belong to. (You might argue that belonging to a certifiably whacked-out congregation could very well work in his favor though - I don't know).

This seems fragile. Good thing for him there's no one remotely eligible to compete.

Yes, God has decided that the USA is done for. He sends an al Qaeda groupie and when he's too incompetent even to gain a second term in which to bring back the Stone Age, the Scientologists or whatever provide a new one.

When you crack open the church/state gates, how do you know who's going to crash the party, Pandora ?

yeah ?

Are you guys engaged in an eschatological discussion?

Bitter clingers:

The "mainstream" media are already foaming at the mouth over Jeffress's remarks, using them to reinforce their journalism school-learned bias against Republicans as small-minded bible thumpers, or perhaps, to coin a phrase, as people bitterly clinging to religion.

And Mr Rot is playing right into their hands. It's a Pavlovian reflex.

Podhoretz joins Rot's ever expanding shit list.

Tecs' political discourse and heroes ascend to this level.

Politics ain't a bag of beans. In LBJ's time, they knew how to play the game down in Texas. Now they've gone all soft. Especially when compared to flinty Yanks.

LOL

Mitt is the most effeminate POTUS the US ever elected.

Tecumseh said...

??? Even by Rotter standards, this comment makes absolutely no sense.

Goddamn, Tecs! What's not to understand?

1) You talk about the coolness of tough-guy politics. OK, perhaps I give you too much credit in assuming that you understand what you mean even when you say it wrong. The saying is "politics ain't bean bag," meaning it's a tough game.

2) I contradict by saying that Romney wouldn't be confused for a tough guy at a gay chorus needlepoint club.

Get it now?
