Here is an update on the story:

A veiled Rishawi, 35, wearing a blue prison gown and with her ankles tied, pleaded not guilty to two counts of conspiracy to carry out terrorist acts causing death and destruction, and the illegal possession of weapons and explosives.

Oh, mon Dieu, says Dominique - ankles tied? Dees ees a disgrace, dees ees obscene!

Counterpoint from the groom:

With evident emotion, Al-Akhras told the court that his father, both the parents of his bride, and other family members had died in the attack on the wedding at the Radisson SAS hotel.

“I ask the court to be fair in its judgment and sentence this woman to be hanged in public,” al-Akhras said.

Ah, mais non, mais non, says Dominique -- dees ees talking like those damn Ricain cowboys, sacrebleu!

Hey AI and Pepe, I am sure I sent you guys the original dhombrass piece from Le Monde, but I purge email. Could one of you guys call it up? At the time, Pepe and I had a big fight about the article. Of course Pepe thought it about like Dhombres while AI and I agreed that she should have been drawn and quartered on TV.

Al-Akhras sets the right tone. In media stat virtus and all that jazz.

There was something from you about this a couple of years ago, but it just flew by me:

JJ: Here make sure you get to the last beautiful sentences. The French need bombing.

AI: Yes. But this is precisely what I was talking about a few hours ago, when you brushed aside my concerns. True, I was thinking of America (who gives a rat's ass what LeMonde says?) -- you doubt that carbon-copy statements and/or sentiments exist among the hard left here?

JJ: I was not quite sure what your beef was with that thing you sent. [..] I thought what Dhombres wrote was much more inflammatory. Perhaps for no good reason.

I forget what else was on my mind at the time, but clearly I wasn't in the mood for leMondian doodoo.

At any rate, this guy Al-Akhras says it much better, and more concisely. Would le Monde publish this?

Oops, looking back at the timing, I realize that what p__ed you off at the the time was another Dominique ranting, must have been after Zarky chopped Nick Berg's head on video. Oh well, same spirit -- this Le Monde guy will bat for Zarky every time, that's for sure.
