From your Amazon page, AI:The greatest book ever! Robert J. Zimmer captures the greatest math ever in this book! I read a book resently called To Kill A Mockingbird and it doesnt compare in any way to this perfect book. This book is a must read by all. You cant put this one down! Read it! Its great!
Zimmer was a great teacher. Still is, I guess. After the nightmare years under Sonneschein the Princetonian, and his ilk, which was pro-postmodern and anti-science in ways even I had not anticipated [I was against the Idjit before I was against the Idjit], Zimmer has been like a cold icily sweet blast of much needed Reason. As for his book, there are none in University libraries?

Ergodic theory on Semisimple gps sounds interesting. They all have cocompact lattices though. Probably makes things as if compact.
Looks good, but costs $125 -- too much.
