What's so fucking "Unreal" about it? Putin da Kommie and Obama da Kommie both can agree that Havel is stink-ass reactionary shirker wrecker. Why da hell would they honor him? Is there anything in Obama's background that would make this a surprise? No, eh? So enough of the pretense. Our Quisling is finding it easier and easier to sing the Red Horst Wessel, without shame, publically and brayfully. Havel knows this. He's seen enough red pigs in his lifetime to stock the halls of PePe U until the end of time.
Yet our Obamakles keeps getting respectable "in the 40's" favorables. That, komrads, is why da future is so fucking Radiant.

Sure. But still, don't forget: the snub occurred in Prague, not in Washington, or Moscow, or Peoria somewhere. I mean, on a "how shitty can you get with America's friends" scale, and even discounting for the standard Pepean shit tacos that we all expected would come with the territory, this still must rank quite high, no?

Dalia Grybauskaite shows some gumption. But,

Next came a remark by a “senior US official” in the New York Times, that the president “will seek to impress upon regional leaders a new attitude toward Russia in which the outmoded fears of Russians hiding under the bed are a thing of the past”. That appeared to confirm the east Europeans’ darkest fears about America’s new cosiness with Russia.

No kiddin'.

It is precisely because Havel was a friend of America, a true friend of a democratic America, a true enemy of, and fighter against, marxism, that Obama would enjoy the notion of pissing on him on his own ground. This is Obama, in action he shows what he really is. His actions, unlike his words during the election of 2008, have always been remarkably consistent... and now? And now he finds there is little point to pretending otherwise.
He cares no more about "friends of America" than Chavez does. Again, why should we expect anything but this?

It's hard to let go of some quaint notions, even when you know in your bones they are no longer operative...

He's the wrong kind.

Who's the wrong kind? Herr Rot, you are too cryptic for me. All that Reblochon weighing too much in your stomach for you to make complete sentences?
