Janet Reno bis

.. the gift that keeps on giving. Even the NFL subjects potential draft picks to the Wonderlic Test. I’m sure Napolitano would register a score thereupon that would make Vince Young look comparable to Enrico Fermi. So OK, I checked the test, and it asks questions like: "If LaDainian Tomlinson rushes for 125 yards in a game, how many yards will he have at the end of the season if he keeps up with this pace?" How am I supposed to answer this, when I haven't the slightest clue who LaDainian Tomlison is, and how many games are in a season (in whatever sport he's playing in)? Clearly, a culturally biased test.

My bet is that the question you refer to was put in there precisely to be "culturally sensitive". Who better than a football player [Mr. Tomlinson] aiming for the NFL to know that the regular season has 16 games? Who better than a running back, hoping to compare himself to the greats such as Mr. Tomlinson, to answer a question he's probably asked himself many times: "How many yards do I get for a season if I get X per game?".
That said, if I read the article correctly the above was not actually a question asked on the Wonderlic; it was offered to the reader as the type of question one would get at the simple end of the spectrum on the test.

I bet Napolitano wouldn't break 25,
John Kerry 27, Ted Kennedy 15, George Bush 32, Biden 30, Obamakles Da Genius 31, Miss California 34-27-35.
