Neocon, thy true name is hype
The escalation to especially brutal interrogation tactics against the prisoner, Abu Zubaydah, including confining him in boxes and slamming him against the wall, was ordered by officials at C.I.A. headquarters based on a highly inflated assessment of his importance, interviews and a review of newly released documents show.

Hero of Planet Pepe: He has a reputation for efficiency and ruthlessness. Bin Laden was happy to allow him at 25 to run the training camps in the east of Afghanistan where volunteers for jihad (holy war) were turned into skilled terrorists. Only 18 months ago it is thought he picked at least three of the 11 September hijack leaders.

that's what was hyped then and now we know better. From bin laden cozying up to saddam to WMDs everywhere to this, the whole neocon adventure was a sandcastle of bullshit which has now largely crumbled into an amorphous pile.
