The beat goes on
A weather station at Rome airport was found to catch the hot exhaust fumes emitted by taxiing jets. IT'S ALL ROT'S FAULT!!! In the meantime, the NYT keeps Pepe in blissful ignorance.

Well, Tecs, you're just being simplistic here.
It is obvious that flying around in jets and running the A/C 24/7 is bad for the environment, so what the hell is wrong with putting the thermometer right next to them?
One cuts out the middleman and gets better science that way.
