Run, J.D., run!

In medio stat virtus. You wild-eyed nuts take over the GOP and we end up with pinko tea parties two years from now.

We could've lived with Hillary in the WH, but we ended up with Obama. Same goes for those a little on the left.

They can deal with McCain types here and there, but Palin and others that feel too far right for them will cause a revolt again.

Everyone needs to simmer down and quit electing wingnuts.

JDH is a wingnut.

Our Van Jones.

Wrong. The two issues are not comparable. And JDH never was a card-carrying commie.

Besides, JDH already served 6 terms in Congress (1995-2007). Like it or not, he showed he can run and win an election. What did Van Jones run for? I think what's really nutty is to compare the two.

A little recap:

Here are some of John McCain's major accomplishments in the Senate.

* He sponsored McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform, much of which has been ruled unconstitutional. Despite the bill's attempt to limit the influence of moneyed interests in politics, Barack Obama was able to raise three quarters of a billion dollars in his presidential campaign.

* He sponsored the McCain-Lieberman Climate Stewardship Act, which would have capped CO2 emissions at the 2000 level. It lost in the Senate on a vote of 55-43 in 2003. It was reintroduced in 2005, when it lost on a vote of 60-38.

* He sponsored the McCain-Kennedy comprehensive immigration bill in 2005. The Senate did not vote on it. Its follow-on bill, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, was sponsored by Arlen Specter in 2007 and cosponsored by McCain. It failed to pass committee.

*He voted in favor of the $850-billion TARP bailout one month prior to the 2008 presidential elections and influenced other Republicans to support it.

Yeah, elect Repubs that only Rush Limbaugh approves of and you end up with the "party of 'no'" bs thrown at you.
Things are too extreme nowadays. Don't need more rabble in Congress.

Tecumseh said...

Define "rabble". You mean, McCain's seat is his for life, and no stinking peasant should be allowed to challenge him in the primaries? Sounds like Martha Coakley logik.

Scott Brown isn't rabble! If anything, he's too fruity and huffy for me!

I am saying we need moderates on both sides now. Mac is a little too far into the Dems, but he's better than another way-out-right guy.

Nice picture up front. Is that a 'shop or is this guy as mad a bomber as I think he is?
