not to restate the obvious
but isn't it time y'all take your head out of the sand (literally) and address this threat instead ? Unless you aren't paying attention, this is about a little more than blowing up a subway train.

I agree, the NK nuclear threat is serious, and yes, we should be paying more attention to it, instead of frolicking among the mountain goats like JJ (speak of head in the sand!)
Before doing that, though, perhaps one should review a bit the history of this thing, so as not to be condemned to repeat past mistakes. Not to did out old dirt, or cast too many stones, but really, the whole mess is the legacy of Clinton, and his aw-shucks, laissez les bon temps rouler attitude to foreign threaths and gathering storms throughout the 90's. (The other big threat that he basically ignored being Binnie, but let's not revisit that for the moment, one thing at a time.)
So, are we agreed that Clinton (and the whole defense/intelligence/foreign apparatus at the time, including Perry, Cohen, Albright, Berger, you name it) dropped the ball, big time? If we are, I think we'll have a solid foundation to proceed, and who knows, even figure out how best to deal with this?
Both the US and Japan had said they would consider a range of options - including economic sanctions - if a launch of the Taeopdong-2 missile went ahead.
Wow, looks like that'll show 'em (gag).
Petard mouille?
