There is none more parochial, more blind to the realities of this world, than the committed North American leftist. i have to say i have never met anyone quite as preachy. it's kind of like watching a really bad singer exerting himself on stage: you want it to end for the sake of your eardrums and at the same time you feel sorry for the poor fella.
