Ralph Peters bemoans: Putin's certainly not a good man. But he is a great man -- perhaps the most capable national leader of our time. He's also a very dangerous man. The really bad news? I can't spot a single potential president in either of our political parties who'd be a match for the guy. It's heartbreaking when an old KGB hand consistently triumphs over the products of the mediocrity mills our moribund political parties have become.
So, Herr Rot, do you have a dream candidate who would not end up as sushi for Putin? Maybe Palin, who can see him from her window?
Putin's Achilles' heel--besides his little Chechen problem--is that Russians drink vodka, and don't have babies. Ask Mark Steyn to draw a commuting diagram to explain what that means.
So they translated Ralph Peters' piece into Russian? I guess they must like it. Рональду Рейгану -- that's Ronald Reagan? Why put a y at the end of names?

Yeah, true, but they'll pants us all.
