One NRO guy looking for fresh air
And McCarthy gets pissy-pissy. I bet Manzi gets fired for not being a true believer. Manzi bothers to answer him, God knows why. Doesn't everyone know that McCarthy is bananas? Manzi's bio.

Hmmm.. Too long. Unlike you, I don't think McCarthy is nuts -- he clearly knows his shysterly stuff -- but of course, he wouldn't know dick about science. That said, Al Gore knows even less, and that doesn't stop him from bloviating, day and night. And Mann or Jones may know more, but I don't trust anything they say. Lindzen seems the most reliable guy of the bunch.
Manzi has some good ideas, but I have the inkling he's one of those "conservatives" itching to do an Andy Sullivan volte face. After all, here's what it says: Jim Manzi has written articles for a variety of political publications including the New York Post, The Weekly Standard, The Atlantic, and Slate. He has also contributed to the blogs of those publications and others, such as The American Scene, Andrew Sullivan's The Daily Dish, and National Review's The Corner. Hmmm...
Got to take the fight to the enemy, Tecs. What I dislike about Manzi is his admiration for Douthat, whom I think is a big fruit acting thoughtful.
I think Manzi is better than he is though and see Manzi as a Kaus on our side (though not as smart).
I don't mind an iconoclast per se -- it's actually good, it keeps the neurons firing properly. My only beef is that he's too windy. Jeez, can't he boil down his point (it's not rocket science!) in 1/10th the length?
Tecs, you need to relax. Have an ouzo while you sit in your car with the engine idling and talking to someone on your iPhone.
Oh, I forgot.
Look, seethe then. I don't care.
I'd rather sit on a terrace in the sun, and wait for you to pick up the tab. The tab.
