Arelcao Akleos said...: It takes a couple of years for the bureaucrats to take over and start royally mucking it up. One reason, maybe, why Obamakles doesn't want to start implementing the national program for another four years. Money goes in for a while, before it begins, and when it begins it will be after the elections and the cushion will provide a few extra years before the shit hits the fan. So maybe not until 2018 or so before it starts cracking apart.
The game, I think, is to have everything so structured by the time healthcare does fall apart; politically and systematically, that the "option" of moving towards a true national government health service, a la England or Canada, will be the easier one for our sad sack scrotum sucking political class. Those few who would speak, with reason and evidence, of undoing the whole mess and recognizing that the best care this country has ever had has come from a fundamentally private practice of medicine, will have a Reagan's chance in Berkeley.; 4/08/2010 1:34 PM
