Fascinating. It's impressive how impressive Hitchens is when he isn't roaring drunk [although I must admit that, as on the Maher show, when he is drunk it is fun to follow the madness].
A drunken sot with a first class mind. Makes a grand Yank.

George Washington secured his first political success by doling out ladles of rum to potential voters. And any Yank knows the Republic was formed in Colonial taverns up and down the coast. Hitchens continues to re-ignite and fuel what was once the Colonial Enlightenment.

Giving up booze for Jesus is what Hitch faults W for. Hmmm... What's wrong with dat?

Jesus drank wine and, by all accounts, could at least reason. Bush drank full-throttle, then decided to give it up, but couldn't intelligently reason before or after (even though he may have had good intentions).

Teetotalers ought to be locked up.

It's a bad trade. That's what's wrong with it.
