Was Mohammed evil? By any rational criterion, yes. If you prefer the lingo of "criminally insane", fine. Is there a huge problem, then, in that the more faithful you are to the Quranic/Hadithic teaching the more you are bound to the dictums of one nasty hombre? Yes, there is. Can a modern secular spirit so infect the Ummah that sufficient numbers of influential [yet decent] folk set aside Belief and treat it all as amusing cultural baggage, as mere tradition? That's the hope in this whole war against Islam Militant thing.
If Kosovo, only a few handful of years separated from long avowedly communist rule, and only relatively recently a majority muslim region, could not be at least as filled with whores and secular corruptions as Albania then that would be a huge disappointment. The game would have been lost before it started.
