Maybe Kira can get a federal bailout?
Great idea! After all, the Feds have been printing greenbacks like there is no tomorrow, and throwing them out of helicopters. Kira is worthy of support. She can share some of the mullah with Paris, who also needs some bailing out after having her jewelry stolen.
Paris had the smarts to leave money making to Daddy, supplemented with the occasional snatch at some pornprofits. Plastic-ninny should learn from Mistress.
Yes, the Age of Absurdity continues: Paris Hilton as a mentor.
Paris had the smarts to leave money making to Daddy, supplemented with the occasional snatch at some pornprofits. Or the occasional profits from showing off some snatch?
yum. want.
It's obvious that Paris has marketing genius. She was able to exploit people's silly fascination for sex and fame and turn it into serious cash (her appearances at functions now fetch in the $100K), without daddy's help. I don't think she's as dumb as she seems.
By her standards growing up, it's a snatch at pornprofits. Should she be running a pseudohefneresque House of Paris in 25 years then maybe you'll have a point.
As for her intelligence, I doubt people think she is the dumb one in her coterie of dead souls. They probably do doubt she is not a dead soul.
Pepe shows his grasp of high culture: if it sells, it's hot.
it's not about high/low culture. there's no culture there: it's all marketing, and it worked. Whatever we think of her as a "cultural icon", she grew a business by using wisely her assets and made a killing with it. I think that's pretty smart.
You try and build a career showing your hairy ass on a grainy video and tell me how it went.
To the point: doesn't she epitomize the american dream by having been able to identify an opportunity, s(l)easing it, and taking it as far as she could ?
No, it also depends on what the dream is. Ted Bundy saw an opportunity and took it as far as he could. No one this side of the Planet Pepe border would call that "the American Dream".
He was, however, also a dead soul.
But you admire what you admire, Le Pew. Embrace it.
AA, I understand what you're trying to say, but Pepe so happens to have half a point: identify an opportunity, s(l)easing it, and taking it as far as she could -- that sounds about right. Now, whether that epitomizes the American Dream is a highly contentious statement, and very improbable, to boot. The Ted Bundy analogy is strained -- a better one would be Al Capone, or better still, Papa Kennedy: they both saw Prohibition as an opportunity to make money on bootleg booze.
It is not a question of "admiring" her (!) but she obviously has business skills than your average blond bimbo airhead doesn't have.
How about Britney?
So do a million other chicks. Doesn't mean they rake in the mullah. There must be some method to this madness -- why some random nobodies make it big, while all the others don't? I bet humanity has struggled with this deep question since time immemorial.
