You'll note, Pepe: those commentators addressed a gathering at CPAC, which is slightly different than your title implies. Though, of course, in Pepean Logic, the two scenarios get identified.
Part of my beef with your title, Pepe, is with your use of the word "appeals". What do you mean by that? That the GOP is left begging for Rush Limbaugh and/or Ann Coulter to come and save them? Thta's probably the standard-issue pinko-MSM party line you're simply regurgitating. But, would you stop for a minute and try to explain more concretely what you mean by that, in your own words?

In stats, it's called a representative sample.
Nope, in stats its called intended sample bias. Or, more colloquially, doctoring the data.

Simply that, in the absence of any credible leader in the GOP, it is starting to appear like we now have rush and ann filling in the void.
A pundit cannot be the "leader" of a big party like da GOP. Only in the pinko caricature can that happen.
that's exactly my point. the gop is so desperate for a leader that it is hitting the pundits to galvanize its base. A beautiful sight from here.
Don't gloat so quick. Bill Maher could;ve gotten twice the votes that Tupac wound up getting.
