That's funny. Of course, this euphemism treadmill is a phenomenon that I noted the moment I set foot at Ellis Island (or environs). At the time, it was mostly confined to the US, but now it has gone global (certainly in Euroland). To have such clear and unambiguous concept as "enemy combatant" put on this (basically pinko) treadmill is ludicrous.
And no, I never heard of asswad before. But I looked it up on urbandictionary, and yes, it fits Pepe like Charmin'.
