The missing weapons will not be tracked easily: The Defense Department registered the serial numbers of only about 10,000 of the 370,251 weapons it provided -- less than 3 percent.
you're doing a heckuvah job, rummy.

OK, OK, not the brightest lights in charge of the armory out there. But I'm 100% sure if Nancy Pelosi and her minions were in charge, everything would run like clockwork. That is, cut and run, and hide under the table in SF.

you may be right - but there's only one way to know for sure. We'll soon find out.

I can be sure, without even needing an experiment. It's a time-tested method, called induction (though one could also use deduction, I guess).

It sounds less like a question of the brightness of the armorial bulbs, and more like one of a blackmarket "entrepreneur" at work. Logistic staff seem always to get more than their fair share of the tricky dicksters......This is far more troublesome than Abu Ghraib.
