A stirring call to Dhimmitude! Allaho Akhbar. You cannot live with Islam Militant, unless you are it. You either live in submission to it, or you fight it, or you run away. It doesn't allow other choices. I'm old enough to remember when Newsweek espoused a sane, democracy supporting, liberalism. Now they are just the American Pravda for the Red/Green Convergence ["Socialism is Great, and Don't You Mind About My Daughter's Honor Killing Party"].
It's this particular flavor of religious intolerance you can't stand, aa. You'd are fine with the christian wackos, as long as they profess anti-commie beliefs.
All right, all right -- I'll eat a crow's half-leg. I mean, Zaki sounded half right at some point -- last Fall was it, I forget -- when I posted one of his articles. But lately he's been drifting more and more into la-la land. But this is not a unique phenomenon: look at Pat Buchanan, or Brooks, etc. Pundits tend to drift in and out, and sometimes they go over the deep end. Doesn't mean that they can't say something OK now and then -- even Maureen Dowd had a flash of quasi-intelligent, lucid thought the other day. It's like a piece of wood, bobbing and weaving on a river...
