Scott Brown on the Austin Kamikaze

Uh, fail.
Krautman owes us a VCP.

Actually, I did watch that Brown interview with Cavuto. Clearly, he's not yet quite ready for prime time. It wasn't as bad as the article implies (they advertise themselves as anti-Fox pinkos, after all), but yes, rather nonchalant and disconnected, and still small-town sounding. It's a bit like Palin, not being able to kick in higher gear, once on the national stage (at least for a while). I guess it takes time to get good at these interviews on TV, at least those where they ask you something with some meat, not just about your kids...

I don't know how much time Brown had to get his talking points down. I don't think he could've come right out and said, "Hey, this asshole was a Communist; What do you expect?" But I do think that direction was the right one.

As it turned out, it seemed he was lumping this idiot in with the Tea Party-types, exactly as WaPo and the rest want to do.

Brown has a tough line to walk over there, and he better not screw up like this too much.

The source quotes directly.

Yes, they do quote directly, but there was more to the interview. At any rate, this was on the Neal Cavuto show, so the main topic was the economy. Brown better learn something about that, too - beyond the standard platitudes.
