English as a common and unifying language

Is racist, says Harry Pelosi (or is it Nancy Reid?) So what would it take to satisfy him/her (or, them, as JJ would say)? We all switch to Esperanto?

Don't these people have anything better to worry about what the official federal stone, bird and language is ?

I thought it's the French who worry the most about such things. After all, they have an Academy dedicated to maintaining the purity of the language -- you must say "steack haché" instead of hamburger, or else they haul you to la Santé, or something. Ditto for Quebec.

But of course, it's always more pleasing to treat the Ricains as stoopid yahoos, yes?

yeh - former minister of culture Jacques Toubon (aka Jack Allgood) went on a crusade to save the french language from the walkman. Contrarily to the stoopid yahoos, he was laughed into retirement.
