Burkha yes, X no

Says BA. AA has been warning about this for a long time, it's coming to pass now.

About six years ago I had a lay-over in Heathrow: I never thought I'd see so many turbans.

It's spelled turbines.

Heh.

How's this for symmetry?

this reminds me of the dice line: if a guy sleeps around he's a stud but if a chick does she's a whore. Get used to it: that's just the way it is.

The 23-year-old insists the veil is not a communication barrier.

So how does one talk through the veil? On the face of it, having only that slit in the fabric at eye-level limits the communication possibilities. Am I not being multiculti enough to understand the subtleties of it all?

ai - we all would look better in a burkha.

Could be, could be -- especially if it were crimson red. But how about the communication bit? Hard to eplain things from behind that barrier, unless you have a Darth Vader contraption or something to amplify your voice, I'd imagine.

It's a [yet] free country Pepe. If you think a Burkha enhances your appearance, by all means wear one. There is, as Le Pew knows better than any of us, always a flamboyant subset of BigEasydom that properly appreciates a man who flaunts his feminine modesty.

As for "getting used to it", Pepe, is that what you learnt in your dicey days in Angola?

Mr roT said...

Pepe, this 'get used to it' thing of yours is pretty invidious. Why not just get used to stonings in Jackson Sq?

too easy to push your buttons, guys.
I think I shall call for an amnesty for all child molesters next.

Mr roT said...

Now that's just self-serving.

Ah. Overkill would infringe on Rights...

How come you guys keep talking about boys, and do not comment instead of the crimson-rd burkha-clad woman I put up? I like the way that curled-up hand defends her modesty -- reminds me of the Botticelli conch.

Sorry AI, I was too busy looking at the new Burkha babe to even think of commenting. Thanks for snapping me out of my Infidel stupor -- now I'm just an Infidel who's not in a stupor.
