The cost of a "fundamental" freedom
I can't wait to hear the statements to the effect that this is an awful, tragic, despicable event, but that there is nevertheless nothing fundamentally wrong with access.

Pepe, without access, you'd still be a virgin.
Let's see who he killed before we jump on the Second Amendment over a little slip-up.
But seriously, today some German kid blew away even more people.
As I recall, the krauts have strict (like everything else) gun-control laws.
Maybe you ought to postpone your slobberings till we've forgotten about the kraut, Pepe.
the kraut did have some access to a gun, didn't he ?
Yes, but it would be impractical to impose stricter prohibitions here than there. It's just like sex. You can't just convince people...
there is no comparison really: this story happens all the time here and hardly ever in europe. the only thing it shows is that prohibition won't entirely get rid of the problem. It also suggests it will reduce it considerably.
There's no reason to think there would be any reduction. Guns impossible to control and who wants one bad enough (maybe the maniacs that go and kill people are more single-minded than the rest of us?) will get one.
this is like saying there's no reaason to have a bolt on your house - if people want to break in bad enough, they will.
Non sequitur. The noise you make breaking open a bolted door will waken the guy wif da shotgun.
there is no comparison really: this story happens all the time here and hardly ever in europe. Usual Pepean bullshit. Of course killing sprees happen all over the world, and in Europe, too. If you'd bothered to look it up, 5 of out the top 10 school massacres (perpetrated by lone gunmen) did occur in Europe (eg, remember the one in Finland last year?) And, if you look at shooting sprees anywhere (not just in schools), only a couple of the top 10 occurred in the US (and 1 in Europe) -- mostly it's been in Southern Asia and in Uganda.
At any rate, a horrible crime. But, as usual, Pepe exploits such crimes to feed his primitive anti-American bias, irrespective of what the facts are. Par for the course.
Walt and Meersheimer say it's the Jews' fault. They're real smart at a hoity-toity big University or something, so I'm with them.
