Tecumseh, it's possible that Zakaria was already off that deep end. That what has come before has been a hemming and hawing around the edges of what he did not yet dare say.

But yes, a while ago Zaki was trying to be semi-reasonable, and construct some kind of moderately logical argument (I linked to one of his articles at the time, and that's why Mr Rot keeps harping on my supposed affinity for the guy!)
