Pepe le Pew said...: not conceived - initiated. Surely it takes more than sperm+egg to make life: there has to be a cognitive process, ... a mass of cells certainly isn't life on its own unless you invoke some supernatural/divine intervention.
Where's the threshold ? Whenever there appears a nervous system or any other tangible evidence of life. Conception is arbitrary and early miscarriages are developments that don't amount to anything close to the loss of a live child.; 3/10/2009 9:49 PM

I would note that your "point" that there are natural abortions no more makes deliberate abortion justified than the fact that folks dropping dead of heart attacks, or whithering away from Aids, makes deliberately inducing heart attacks or spreading infection justified.
