not conceived - initiated. Surely it takes more than sperm+egg to make life: there has to be a cognitive process, ... a mass of cells certainly isn't life on its own unless you invoke some supernatural/divine intervention. Where's the threshold ? Whenever there appears a nervous system or any other tangible evidence of life. Conception is arbitrary and early miscarriages are developments that don't amount to anything close to the loss of a live child.
Not a rant,Le Pew, a statement of fact. It does happen to be right; kudos. However the statement refers to you, not me. The only "self" there is your-self. Still 1/3 correct is astonishingly good for Pepe. A pity D-
Oh, by the way, Gerbiled One, yes, it is part of the discussion of abortion as to when life becomes human. Which is distinct from the issue of when human life becomes viable. I would note that your "point" that there are natural abortions no more makes deliberate abortion justified than the fact that folks dropping dead of heart attacks, or whithering away from Aids, makes deliberately inducing heart attacks or spreading infection justified. Although I do not put it past the Nawlins cocktail circuit Aristos to free of the shackles of the merely moral.

Oh, of course not. You've shown us a photograph of Octowoman and suddenly we are for infanticide. Who could resist such a powers of persuasion?
abortion is infanticide ?
oh, right.
...predicated on the biblical notion of when life begins.
Nope, predicated on the biological notion of when human life is conceived.
But kill away, Pepe, it's what Vichy does.

No one is arguing this: it takes more than a nascent nervous system to make life viable, Mr Biology.

You are handing out grades now ? Is there no limit to your feeling of self-importance ?
