From a purely technical point of view, those pics that you posted are either badly framed (too big for allotted width), or not readily identifiable (who are those kids? they look random), or plain missing (third link is dead). And, by the way, "tabloid" has an ell somewhere.

Tecumseh said...: I'm all for a limit of one pic per posting -- I never go over that. Now, AA has found some amazing pics from time to time (though, I agree with JJ, some are just too much for a family audience -- though JJ complained when I posted a pic of some French models striking in front of the Louvre, and showing some tits -- but I digress).

One compromise solution that I think works about as good to convey the imagery: display one pic, and put pointers to the others, right there, below or to the side of the pic.

Now, while we are at bitching an moaning about format and posting etiquette -- how about a limit of sorts for the total length of one posting? A screenful should be plenty enough to get across the basic point, especially to an audience who knows by now what we're talking about, more or less. If the point needs elaboration, there is always the comment section...

At any rate, no fast rule -- no head hacked if someone goes overboard now and then -- just a friendly proposal (variants of which have been bandied about here with some regularity, only to be forgotten pronto).; 1/11/2009 11:41 AM

Of course at the same time as that [47-48] there were a number of brutal massacres carried out by the Arabic forces against civilian jewish populations. Both before and after D.Y. And, of course, Le Pew seeks to avoid the whole point. That he embraces the constellation of folk who seek the annihilation of the Jew. That is what the enemies of Israel are about, from the heart of Europe to the heart of the Ummah. The "moderate" ones would be content with second diaspora and the subsuming of any jewish identity into the standards of the socialist collective or into a "reversion" to Islam. Let a thousand Rosa's and Karl's bloom, a hundred schools of Sunni contend. The "immoderate" multitude that is the rest? They cheer on the "conveniently" aimed bloodlust, from Arafat to Zarqwari. They make a sport of the ambition, a most desperately sought ambition, to murder their way to a Paradise. Either a paradise that is a a world judenfrei; or Allah's heaven.
And that is where Le Pews words put him, whether those words are the pathetic irony of the faker or the earnest impulse of the wannabe thug.

In the end, again, of course, Israel has beenheld to, and has held to, a far higher standard of conduct than its enemies. [for one of many examples, compare the number of Israeli prisoners returned alive, from Arab captors, vs the number the other way. That, JJ, that is horror. It is also reality].
Israel seeks to live, and it aims to kill only those who are trying to kill it. It is so careful to minimize deaths of noncombatants that its enemies must make a deliberate issue of dragging noncombatants into the role of human shields, just to get a body count fit for a Pepe's moronic attempts at an "equivalence". A war crime, by the way, to do that. Not that Le Pew gives a damn.
Israel's enemies, though, aim deliberately for total destruction of a people; and all those people, from the child to the nonagerian, are to be deliberately targeted, and are so targeted. A Jew? Kill him. That is all the endearing nuance and sophistication fit for the tired emptiness and sensuous self interest of the aristo content to piss away the inheritance of the world as he is to piss away his own.
The awful nature of the enemies of Israel-- in this last century-- only honors the state they hate. As does Le Pew joining those beloved, utterly endearing, enemies.; 1/11/2009 12:20 PM

The Herald Sun published exclusive pictures of Hezbollah launching rockets from high-density residential areas, all of which these liars denied.

Hamas has spent much of the past two years slinging its homemade rockets without warning, and without any reason, on to the schools and houses of innocent citizens of Israel.

So many -about 10 a day - they seldom made our news pages.

Hamas now admits to having "surprises" for Israel, almost certainly rockets that can reach Tel Aviv.

Israel had to act, and it has. It can't destroy all of Hamas, but it may be able to exterminate some of its leadership.

Israel's actions in Gaza may make it more apparent to locals that supporting Hamas comes at a price.

Only a people who hate themselves could support Hamas and allow the children of Gaza to be killed as some have - and more will be.

No one in the West hated those girls and boys, but hate surely killed them.
