A big chunk of Western civilization, consciously or otherwise, has given the impression that it’s dying to surrender to somebody, anybody. Reasonably enough, Islam figures: Hey, why not us? If you add to the advantages of will and manpower a nuclear capability, the odds shift dramatically.

And let’s not forget Bill Clinton’s extraordinary remarks at Davos last year: “Iran today is, in a sense, the only country where progressive ideas enjoy a vast constituency. It is there that the ideas that I subscribe to are defended by a majority.”

[2] Billy Boy interpreted the munificent donations of Iran's theocrats to his Own Private Widows & Orphans Fund as a measure of their respective for Progressive Ideas.
[3] Billy Boy was signifying to the Mullahs what sort of future gig he expected as reward for playing Dhimmi a la Monica.
[4] Billy Boy was letting slip the ugly truth; life with Hillary had finally driven him to Islam
