What's worrisome to me is that pretty soon, at the rate we're printing and spending money, a trillion "actual" dollars will have the buying power of a trillion "mugabe" dollars. Just wait for the pinko nirvana to arrive.

Not to shake your pink dogma, which is more like a red mutt after chomping on blood sausage, but this doesn't come close to being "Republican made". American made? Sure. But what has led up to this has had substantially more to do with the Dems than with the Republicans.
The Republicans conjured up partial Enron, a soft spot for "Compassionate Conservatism" from House of Bush which saw them play the "kill the free market...uh, yeah, to save the free market, yeah, that's right..." card, a disregard for the loss of our manufacturing base and a growing comfort with real estate and other speculations, on or off Wall Street, as their economic ouzo. Mantra: "Let the massive illegal immigration tide in, fuck the laws, and all boats will rise, especially our big beautiful Skull&Bones, and maybe a few of those babes clinging to the Dems will like me just a little". Now we pay a trillion to the Piper.
The Dems, however, far more sophisticated and nuanced than the pathetic wannabe that is the Republican honcho in this glorious era, have a richer resume':
Partial Enron, sure. But so much more. The whole Fannie Mae et co debacle, lovingly nurtured and developed through the 90's and 2000's by the Dems from a ill conceived but cute little fuzzy wuzzy-- born of Barney's Frank --into a brutal financial monster that chomped the ship of the economy like Jaws on the crazy capn'. And it was that debacle which ignited the flames of this Bonfire of the Aristo Vanities. [Gee, and this was despite al those republicans actually being clear on the concept on this one], and gave Lebensraum to all those Obamaklean Dreams of Moving On to Socialism, Grand Socialism, National Socialism, International Socialism, Socialism Uber Alles, AmeriSoc Writ in Bleu, with Hope for a Change that Pepe's Boot can Stamp on the Human Face Forever [and so do unto men what Kayla does unto Le Pew]. A Trillion? Bah! So many Trillions lying ahead, to Fan the Mae Days to come, to make Government master of all, to give Pepe to have the sort of medical care in his dotage that he could expect from the VA system, to make peasants peasants and aristos aristos; just like back in the good ol' days of Versailles upon Lubyanka, along the river Rhine, under the shade of the Green Flag.
Oh, yeah, and Bernie Madoff was a darling of the Left, funded all the "correct" people like a Mini-Soros, and bilked them all to fund his own private Versailles. Just like Soros in fact. Just he was not lucky enough to get away with it until his 80s and so have the chance to call upon old Soviet connections and a desire for one last fuck upon the human race, to bring the Joy of Soc to the benighted world yet free.
Had republicans never existed, we would have been where we are now back in the late 70s early 80s, at the minimum, and Le Pew would have been a vodka swilling schill at the Ministry of Truth [whereas now it is gros rouge and champagne, not vodka].

8 years of Republican economic debacle following 8 years of democratic-led prosperity but guess what: there's a phase lag ! Hit Fourier books to understand, Pepe.
Clinton prosperity is really Reagan's doing and Dubbyah's disaster is actually Clinton made.

And Pelosi put a gun to dubbyah's head forcing him shell out a trill to WS fer sher.
