A bright spot on this black day

Too bad for Sheikh Mansoor of Manchester City. Allahu akbar for Berlusconi. If only we had such people.

Does he kick a ball with his foot?

Mr roT said...

Also with his head, but those aren't kicks, technically.

Head butts?

Kaka is the most ill named athlete since Runney Schitt.... but he is good.

Mr roT said...

Never heard of Schitt. Did he play forward or in the back somewhere?

He played centerback in the nether regions of the english leagues [Conference, before it was split up into Northern and Southern]. It seems his name alone is for what he is remembered.

Remarkable about Kaka. Not sure if you read the article, but it seems he turned down an incredible fortune from the big sheikh out of personal loyalty to Berlusconi and the club.

How does Berlu get these class guys? Shevchenko was another one.

Shevchenko went, I think, only because he probably feared pissing off Abramovich. He got fantastic money to sit on a bench. Lucky him. But he could have gotten similar money while playing, and that's gotta hurt.
I am surprised Kaka did not accept the offer. The money was outrageous. I guess the schmuck must think he can be happy as a mere multimillionaire.

Why do you guys keep calling him Kaka? I looked him up in wiki, and it seems his real name is Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite. Why not call him Ricky, or something?

He calls himself Kaka, apparently a childhood name. In terms of embracing a name, this outdoes Yankee Doodle.
