Interesting as hell. I wonder about the last time, though. Same source and that time obviously bull.

Could you provide a link to the old story, AI, please? I've lost it.

This time Condi is in the UK, though. Maybe there's something here, who knows?

I don't know about you guys, but I think it's something that has to be done. Nowadays even the goddamn Saudis are saying Israel did the right thing in knocking out Saddam and Chirac's reactor at Osirak in '81.

Shame we condemned them for that. WTF were we thinking?

This story could be nonsense put out for general consumption in Teheran and environs. Maybe last time they spouted obvious nonsense so that the Iranian military would know it was an empty threat. I don't see any glaring falsehoods here. I'll have another look, though.

Right now, I wouldn't worry too much about the past, but rather, try to think ahead a move or two. So, what do you think of this potentil counter-gambit? Not reassuring.

But terrorism experts considered Iranian-backed or controlled groups -- namely the country's Ministry of Intelligence and Security operatives, its Revolutionary Guards and the Lebanon-based Hezbollah -- to be better organized, trained and equipped than the al-Qaeda network that carried out the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Plausible denial.

Behind the curve on this one!

Chaff.

Chaff referred to the BBC story.. Debka is interesting. A chance to test Debkarelcao.

Check the timeline, though -- I beat the Debkaroos to the punch by a few minutes on this story! Where's my Stone IPA?

More straws

How in the hell do we get 635 tons of boomboom to Iran? This is not enough! Maybe they'll let us in with trucks and shit.

Tecumseh said...

I'd rather go with this delivery method.

And, by the way, a BUFF can still haul some big loads.

Try a little tenderness? You remember that song, JJ?

absolutely! it's high time we get the iraqi shiites pissed off too. after this, we should also start thinking of a way to annoy the kurds. the important thing is to keep the eye on the ball.

Tecumseh said...

C'est le cas de le dire. Question is, what is the ball to keep an eye on. I'd say the kind that implodes and goes boom is one we should paid attention to, independent of what x, y, or z in the neighborhood thinks.

good idea: let's spread out to north korea while we're out democratizing the world and getting rid of wmds.

Better idea from the bien-pensant? I am waiting.

Tomorrow's meeting will be attended by... Lt Gen Andrew Ridgway, the chief of defence intelligence...

This name triggered something in my brain: I wonder if there's any relation that Andrew has with this fellah.
